CPS Families,
With the intense weather during the past week, maintenance staff checked on all of the roofs, and we did not have further damage due to the storms. We did have some water leaks, most in the same identified locations, that are scheduled for work next week.
The crew from CEI is still planning on beginning the week of April the 8th. They will have 1 full day at each of the following locations: Galewood, High School, Parkview, Washington, Weymouth, and the CUE/Middle School. While this is all weather dependent and the schedule may shift a day or two, crews will not demobilize from site until work is complete.
Garland also had some emergency repairs at the CUE/CMS approved this morning, with labor and material. They are also focusing on a timeline close to April 8th and will address several of the more severely impacted areas of the building. This is still not the final resolution but will help as their team looks at the best long term solutions. The warranty team also took samples recently that they are testing, which will help to address how they are addressing the repairs. The warranty and tech team at Garland has a meeting this week to discuss next steps, with a follow up discussion after the repairs are complete.
We will keep you updated on our progress as we address this situation, and are hoping for drier weather to speed up the repair schedule!
