Assistant High School Principal
As a vital member of our educational leadership team, the High School Assistant Principal plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment. This position
supports the principal in the administration of school policies, programs, and activities, with a focus on student discipline, academic achievement, and staff development.

High School Principal (Grades 9-12)

Charlotte Public Schools is looking for an experienced, knowledge-driven, student-centered, enthusiastic educational leader for Charlotte High School.  The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership for student learning and success and serve as the instructional leader to accomplish building and district missions.  Knowledge of secondary level curriculum and instructional practices, as well as social emotional learning is strongly preferred.  

Parkview Elementary Principal (Grades 1-3)
Charlotte Public Schools is looking for an experienced, knowledge-driven, student-centered, enthusiastic educational leader for the Parkview Elementary School.  The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership for student learning and success and serve as the instructional leader to accomplish building and district missions.  Knowledge of elementary level curriculum and instructional practices, as well as social emotional learning is strongly preferred.  The position of Parkview Elementary Principal is an excellent opportunity for innovative, hardworking professionals, who are dedicated to a high-quality educational experience.  

Charlotte Upper Elementary Principal (Grades 4-6)

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, the Building Principal provides instructional leadership to staff, which includes curriculum planning, review and implementation, and professional development. Responsible for the overall building administration and safety of students and staff. Fosters trusted, meaningful relationships with staff and students to create a safe, encouraging and effective educational environment.

Communications & Engagement Specialist, Full Time - Central Office HR

As the Communications & Engagement Specialist, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment while effectively communicating our district's message both internally and externally. You will work closely with the HR team and various departments to ensure clear communication channels, employee engagement, and effective HR operations.

District Health Services Coordinator, Full Time
The District Health Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the health and wellness of students and staff across our district. This position involves overseeing and coordinating various physical and mental health services programs, collaborating with school staff, families, and community partners, and promoting health education initiatives.

Student Support Specialist - Parkview Elementary, Full Time
The role of the Student Support Specialist is to identify and assist students to overcome barriers that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, counseling, consultation, coordination of school and community resources, and program development.  The Student Support Specialist utilizes knowledge of human behavior, social, cultural and community influences to help create a positive learning climate.  Provides case management services.

Special Ed Paraprofessional - Middle School, Full Time
The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the classroom setting, as well as lunchroom/playground. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. The primary function of this role will be assisting within the special education program.

The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the lunchroom/playground. The paraprofessional's goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. The primary function of this role will be lunchroom and playground supervision.

Middle School Math Teacher
The role of the middle school math teacher is to prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school. Uses research based best practices to ensure all students learn.  Specific focus on mathematics instruction at the secondary level. 

Middle School Vocal Music Teacher - Middle School

Charlotte Public Schools is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, creative vocal music teacher to oversee the middle school branch of the Charlotte vocal music program. The middle school vocal music teacher is responsible for instruction in vocal music and adjacent courses, with a specific emphasis on 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir. 

Intervention Teacher, Full Time - Parkview Elementary

Charlotte Public Schools is seeking a strong teacher leader to assist in fostering student growth in an intervention capacity for elementary students identified as eligible for additional support services. Strong curricular knowledge regarding math and ELA as well as a clear understanding of appropriate interventions and accommodations.

Transportation

School Bus Driver - Permanent Float 6 hours/day
A Permanent Float school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus.  This position is guaranteed 6 hours/day with the option of additional hours if available.

Substitute School Bus Driver - Part Time/On-Call
A substitute school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a substitute school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus.  This position will not have a regularly assigned route.

Maintenance & Grounds

Working Maintenance Coordinator - Full Time

This role serves as a hands-on, working coordinator with responsibility to assist the Director of Facilities & Safety Services in the maintenance and operation of the physical plant at Charlotte Public Schools. This role coordinates and directs the daily operation of the maintenance department at Charlotte Public Schools.  Duties include responsibility for the operation and maintenance of HVAC/Energy systems, boiler systems, electrical and mechanical building maintenance, general building maintenance, and grounds maintenance.
